Trek Construction & Environmental Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Level Environmental Professional with 6+ years of experience within the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry. A thorough understanding of Reclamation, Remediation, and Environmental Site Assessments, on both Private and Crown Lands, with a strong technical background is required. This position is based out of Calgary, Alberta.
The Candidate must be a member in good standing of one of the following six Professional Organizations: Alberta Institute of Agrologists, Alberta Society of Professional Biologists, Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA), Association of the Chemical Profession of Alberta, College of Alberta Professional Foresters, or College of Alberta Professional Forest Technologists.
Responsibilities include: Project Management, Supervision and mentoring of Junior and Intermediate staff, report preparation & review, as well as client liaison. Candidates must be willing to work in the field and office.
• Technical report writing skills, peer review, and sign-off
• Project Management skills including project planning, preparation of cost estimates, Task Allocation and Project Status Updates via our Web based Project Management Application
• Landowner Consultation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Thorough understanding of the Regulatory requirements in Alberta, and Saskatchewan
• Competent in vegetation identification and soil classification
• Capable of working in both the field and office, with flexible hours as required
• Strong computer and data management skills (MS Word/Excel/Outlook), Mapping Software, AbaData, Corel, Web based applications is required.
