Detailed Site Assessments:
Trek provides qualified onsite personnel for Detailed Site Assessments (DSA) on decommissioned sites situated on private lands. The DSA is the re-vegetation assessment of a reclaimed well site, access road, pipeline or facility. A DSA is a prerequisite to a Reclamation Certificate Application for a reclaimed well site, access road, pipeline or facility. A typical DSA project would include:
- Completion or review of a Phase I Site Assessment report
- Completion or Review of a Phase II Site Assessment report (if applicable)
- On-site study of topsoil depth and quality compared to offsite control areas
- Assessment of vegetation types and diversity compared to offsite control areas
- Study of vegetation growth and vitality compared to offsite control areas
- Comparison of landscape contours to the surrounding land
- Compilation of all information into a structured report for inclusion with the reclamation certificate application
Site Decommissioning:
Trek provides supervision services for decommissioning of well site production equipment, satellite facilities, oil battery facilities, pipeline facilities and gas plant facilities. All equipment is dispersed to locations as per Client requirements.
Erosion Control:
Trek provides professional design and construction of erosion control measures for wind and water erosion on well sites, access roads and pipeline crossings. This includes sensitive Riparian areas along stream banks of creeks and rivers. A typical erosion project would include:
- Assess the erosion impacted area or the potential erosion impacts that could occur
- Provide a site specific recommendation to mitigate the potential for erosion
- Provide onsite supervision during construction phase to implement the erosion control measures
- Provide follow-up monitoring to measure success of erosion control measures
- Provide follow-up reporting to client
